Volunteer Duties & Roles
Guest Parking Lot Supervision - We will have a team of 4-6 volunteers helping to direct attendees into the designated parking areas. Guests will NOT be able to park in the showroom parking lot - this is for car contestants and vendors only.
Vendor & Car Spot Assignments - We will have 3-4 people in charge of helping vendors and car guests to their assigned spots between 8-9am! We will have labeled maps of the parking lot making this process easy. You may be asked to hand out a small "how to" packet to our vendors/competitors.
Indoor/Outdoor helpful smiles!
You may not always have an active role to play, but you will be wearing a VOLUNTEER t-shirt identifying you as someone who can be asked for help. Core volunteers will have walkie-talkies on the day of and will be able to radio for help/answers to questions when needed.
Raffle Tickets
We will have a rotating mix of volunteers helping to run our Raffle/Voting Table as well as walking the parking lot to sell raffle tickets. We are hosting a "50-50" raffle. As tickets sell - one winner will split the total earnings between Camp David and themselves!
Contestant/Employee/Volunteer Parking will be available in the Warehouse gated lot.
8:00-12:00 shift
Please arrive at 7:45AM and get assigned your spots as we begin to welcome in car show contestants and direct them to their parking spots. Be prepared to adapt to the circumstances, we will have food trucks arriving, contestants parking, and vendors arriving to set up their booths. Volunteers can be directed to the warehouse side of the lot to park. Parking lot sitters will place out the parking signs. Vendors may need help setting up their tents, car show registrants may have questions too. The car event opens at 10:00AM.
11:00-3:00pm Shift
You'll be arrriving in the heart of the event! Things should be running smooth and folks will be shopping/eating/strolling and voting. Our raffle tickets will need to be promoted and sold, we will be directing people upon arrival of what to expect and letting them know where things are.
At 1:30 is when voting ENDS for our three show categories. At this time, votes will be tallied inside while outside a few folks and Camp David will work to gather guests together and announce the 50-50 raffle winner! Once this raffle winner is selected, we will announce the three winners between 1:45-2:00pm and hear closing remarks from Walt/others from Camp David.
From 2:00-3:00pm is Event Tear Down. There may be a need for parking coordinators for exiting, but this part should go fairly smoothly the more hands we have to help teardown, clean up trash, and close up shop. Please stick around until you are sure you are not needed anymore, we will do our utmost to have everyone free by 3 or sooner!
